Program Information

Start date: Monday, September 15, 2025
End date: Friday, June 12, 2026

Program runs Monday-Friday after the school dismissal bell and runs until 5:00PM. There is no bus service home at the end of UAU programs.

Students are required to attend a minimum of 3 days per week and remain for the entire duration of program – there is no early pick up prior to program dismissal.

Registration

To apply to Afterschool, go to DiscoverDYCD.dycdconnect.nyc and create an account or sign in if you already have one.

Once logged in you will need to do the following:
1) Go to your dashboard and add an applicant. The applicant is the student applying to the program.
2)Search programs by selecting Afterschool and typing IS 024 Myra S. Barnes
into the search bar. You may also search by using the DBN Code, 31R024 or Program Pin CSO-98055.
3)Add the program to your list – You will be asked to select an applicant. Then click apply.
4)Go back to your dashboard, select the apply button and complete the application

When selecting participants grade level, be sure to select their grade for the 2025-26 school year. Discover DYCD is not linked to the Dept. of Education systems and will not automatically roll over grade levels.

Please be sure to include a valid email for the Parent/Guardian at the time of regsitration as all notifications will be made via email.

Submitting an application does not automatically enroll the student into the SONYC program. Additional documents will be required. Select documents will be emailed after the application is recieved – Failure to return these documents will result in de-enrollement from the program.

Medical Documents

An up to date medical with immunization record, that is signed and stamped by your child’s doctor/physcian is required as per the Department of Health. Medicals are only valid for one year from the date of exam. Applications will be considered incomplete without a medical or an out of date medical.
